John Papanicolas did not find his way to excavation through a training program or a franchise model. He grew up in it.
From an early age, John worked alongside his father at the family junkyard, where he learned to operate heavy equipment before most kids his age had their driver’s license. Handling cars, running the crusher, keeping the yard moving.
That foundation carried forward into the motocross world, where John spent years building tracks and trails with friends in the woods. Shaping terrain. Reading grades. Understanding how water moves across disturbed land and what happens when it has nowhere to go. These were not formal lessons. They were the kind of practical education that only comes from doing the work yourself, over and over, in different conditions.
Before launching Precision Land Works, John managed two large equipment test sites, overseeing all types of machinery across operations that demanded both technical precision and real-world problem solving. That experience sharpened everything that came before it.
In 2021, John launched Precision Land Works to build the kind of company he always wanted to hire. One where the owner picks up the phone, shows up to the site, and personally ensures the work is done right.
